drama's
Those drama's are nice, and expensive...not that expensive has anything to do with it. Does an inch make that much of an difference to alot of people. could a tire change maybe solve some illusion of the 4x4 look, i know i seen 21" wheels on a gs with coilovers n inner fender work n it was killer lookin, looked like they were riding on the inside of the fender....very wild and different. but my 2 cents...u could always sell them too if u decide you are four wheelin too much with em

Clerance problems
I have a friend who has 21" giovana dramas on a 1999 GS300. Those wheels are 21x8.5 and he has problems turining his steering wheel all the way for a hard turn. He is running a 245-35-21 dunlop sp9000. I don't believe they make a 265-30-21 tire, but I could be wrong. With some modificaitons you could probably run the 20x8.5 with teh right offset, but you won't be able to drop much if any. The 21x9 is going to give you problems. Do with the giovannas and fender mods or run some staggered dubs and you should be okay.

Dude I have a Lexus that I cannot steer but dog look at those 21" gio's.
I just don't understand why people do these things to their cars so they can act like some **** on MTV cribs.

An 18/19/20/21x9 +35 is really aggressive for a second-gen GS- they should stick out of the front fenders about 2-3mm. The biggest problem with the 21s is the overall diameter- they'll hit the bolt that holds the upper control arm to the suspension upright (you can see it just above the front tire at 12:00 looking from the side).
The suspension moves up & down with the tire, so if any wheel/tire that physically will bolt onto the car should (in theory) never come in contact with this bolt.
You can grind about 1/4" of the excess threads off to gain a bit of clearance, but you'll want to replace the upper ball joint assembly if you ever take the suspension apart (for example, to lower the car later on): with the shortened bolt, you'll probably never get the nut back on...
I'd go staggerred width 20s, and for God's sake man, whatever you do, please lower it!

That wheel will hit the top of the wheel well!! I had to cut plastic and bend metal (thanks to RMMGS4) in order to drop my ride on 20's with a 2.5" drop. 21's are too over the top IMO!

Okay guys 21 will fit with out a problem. We took my GS up to our distributor, (Wholesale Wheel and Tire), and put some 21's on that they had. I just wanted to see what it looked like in person. It looks just like a 20in. wheel to me. The car needs to be lowered. The wheels that where bolted up where Lexani's and they sell a drop kit that lowers it 1 1/4in. Then it would look fine, but beware of potholes. They have 22's that will fit but they need an half an inch cleareance do to the control arm bolt. If you took it to a custom shop they could alter it and then 22' would bolt up. I wouldn't recommend it, but you could do it. alot of people say 21's are to big but it's really hard to tell the differnence from 20's and 21's. The Dramas look wierd due to their broad five spoke design. 21in. HRE's with a coilover would look sweet, but most people would think your rolling 20's so just get 20's.
