Yokohoma AVS ES 100s
They replaced my Kumho's Escta tires.
245/40/18 front
275/35/18 rear
First off looks:
The threads are similar, but the Yokos are more angled in the tire (the grooves). The Yokos must be a better quality compound because the tire shine looks much better than on the Kumhos.
Shape:
The Kumhos are very flat on it's edges, the Yokos are more round. It looks better.
Quiet:
Sounds the same to me, though the Yokos make more noise when there are grooves in the road.
Handling:
While the Kumhos squealed and I could slide the car, teh Yokos stick more, have NEVER squealed and feel confident. Yokos get the advantage so far. Kumhos are GREAT, I really never had too much of a problem.
Price: Only about $20-30 more per tire for the Yokos
Wet: Kumhos were GREAT in the wet, no complaints. Yokos I have yet to see.
