Manaray, you helped me out about a year ago when I was choosing rims for my GS400. I know your wheel expertise extends beyond the realm of Lexus into German vehicles. I just bought a 2001 A6 2.7T. Its silver with 16" stock rims.

Would you consider giving me your recommendations for rims that would be "right" for my A6?

here are some suggestions. 18 and 19" will fit fine.

BBS CH, LM, RKII
Oettinger RE, RZ
OZ Superleggera III
SSR GT3
anything from HRE

Rims from Mercedes like Lorinser, Brabus will also fit, if you like them.

BBS, and Ottenger would look great on the Audi

The actually design type will depend on what kind of "look" you want for the car...luxury, sport luxury, or more sporty...

BBS LM (Limited Edition)

One of my FAVORITE wheels for any car is the BBS RE ACQ...1-piece Forged Magnesium...too bad they only make two applications...one for the Skyline and one for the Porsche.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I like a lot of the wheels you are talking about. I hope I can keep from going insane between now and the springtime when I take the plunge. A bunch of guys on the Audiworld.com site are using the Oettingers and OZ Superleggeras. I think my favorite is the HRE.

By the way Manaray, I think I lean towards the luxury look. One of the wheels I always wanted for my GS was the L-Sportline Model 2.

How do you think something like that would look on an A6 ??

If you like the luxury look and HRE, your best bet may be to go with the 544 or 544R.
