Default how do you fit OEM 2GS 17" wheels on a car that came with 16's??

Ok, I have a 98 2GS... just got it. Its cherry!! I love it. My car came with the normal 5 spoke 16" rims. However, I love the 5 spoke 17's in chrome that came on the GS400 of the same year .....like these:

But those 17's don't seem to fit according to the chart. I guess it's because they are 50 offset. they have the same bolt pattern though. So how do you get them to fit?

Thanks.... and sorry for the noobiness

If you're simply changing the a 16" OEM wheel with a 17" OEM wheel of the same year, it is a direct fit. All you would need to do is change the tires size to 235/45R17 or 245/45R17. The offsets may be different by a few mm but that is only because the 17" wheel is wider. The original 16" had a 50mm offset so diff is only 5mm or 0.196".

Well thats good to know! I was just looking at a few tire places and when I type in year, model..etc... it always states the offset range at 35-45. So I figured on 16's the offset would be like 40. so I thought maybe to fit that 17" with the 50 offset, I would need maybe some kind of adapter spacer thingy.

But if its a direct fit....then Im getting myself a shiny set of those 17's!!

thanks again
