Not sure if this has been suggested before. I was thinking that with all the questions the wheel gurus get on offset and proper tire size, maybe it would be good to do a sticky post with a general wheel fitment guide for the various Lexus models. As an example I setup an Excel spreadsheet for the GS and SC models and just converted it to a .JPG. The appl columns are to denote front and/or rear wheel applications. For readability there would probably need to be 2 or 3 spreadsheets to cover all the Lexus models and keep the tables from getting too wide.

Guys,
I don't know that we need to do that, it's alot of info that already exists at a site I'm sure most of us have visited already. If you go to the tire rack and select the type of tires you are interested in i.e. Pirelli P Zero Rosso Assimetrico, it will bring up the tire, and links to:
- size/price guide
- warranty info
- Ratings (customer)
- Reviews
- SPECS
Under the specs, section it will list out every possible +1 +2 size change for that tire on different width/diameter rims, what the size is, the appropriate rim size (range), the cross section that contacts the ground, the overall diameter when mounted, and even the number of revolutions per mile.
As it was said before different tires vary, so it would be a massive database and effort to keep up to date....Let's let the pro's at the Tirerack handle this and maybe we can figure out a way to have them sponsor us and give us a link or content in that regard.

Nominally, an 18x8.5 with a +37 is safe: here's a quick list of offset ranges you can use for the GS:
Front/Rear
18x8.0 +25 to +54
18x8.5 +31 to +48
18x9.0 +37 to +42
Rear only
18x9.0 +33 to +64
18x9.5 +39 to +58
18x10.0 +45 to +52
18x10.5 +51 to +53
The first ofset plus number will give you the same "frontspacing" between all the wheel widths- this puts the outer edge of the wheel fairly close to the fender.
The second number (higher) moves the wheel more inboard. This number is not linear (called backspacing) because you can move a narrow wheel further inboard than a wider wheel before it hits the suspension (based on offset number values). Higher offsets 'suck the wheels inboard' more.
The secret forula here at HRE is:
18/19/20x8.5 +37
18/19/20x9.0 +40

How far away are we from getting this going? Any kind of sheet would be nice showing offsets for all of our Lexus vehicles (normal and aggressive), tires, what size some of the most common wheels come in, maybe list price, what common brakes can be used... A lot of the common questions could be answered without even asking, just looking at a sheet we all put together on here with our wealth of knowledge(how many times will someone inquire about BR5's or Work LS's?)
Sure the search feature works, but why not put it into a user friendly form? What can we do to make this happen?
