HRE Wheels
Manaray....and any other expert...
I am dead set on HRE 540 series wheels with S03's wrapped around them.
The question is size....
I am thinking about 19" in the rear and 18" in the front.
Is this a good idea?
Should I stick with my oiriginal plan of 18's all the way around?
What about this reverse lip thing....I am not that familiar with the look of a reverse lip. Can any of you post a picture?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
MIKE

Great choice on wheels...
I think 19" all the way around is the way to go. 18's will look small.
As for the "reverse" lip, HRE won't be making any reverse lip setups in 19" or 18" for the Lexus for a while...like a couple of years...
Reverse lip is when the outer lip (the lip that you can see) has a "straight" profile...
Take a look at the following Lowenhart wheel (the ever popular LD-1)...notice how the lip is "straight"?
Now look at the HRE 540...notice the "step" in the lip? That's the difference...this is called a "normal" lip
It's strictly visual...Most 3-piece race wheels are "normal" lip
Ya sure you don't wanna go 20's?

Why not?
Thanks for the examples. That makes things more clear.
What is the big deal to go to a straight lip on an 18" or 19" wheel?
Is it strictly to keep things simple?
I think 20s would be too big for my area.
I live in michigan and these things would be banged up in the potholes. Though the car is only driven in the summer and not in the rain.....yeah I baby it.
Thanks

Well like I said, the "reverse" lip is mostly for looks. Reverse lip wheels tend to "look" bigger than normal lip wheels...
Yeah, in your area, 20's might not be a good idea...
If you're interested in the 543's (check out HRE's website), I might have a deal for you on some 19's...PM if you're interested in that wheel design...
