Default Time for new tires for my gs430

I took my car in for service at the dealer. They said that I need to replace all 4 tires. I have the stock tires I got with my GS 430. They want almost $280 per tire. That is way tooo much. Any suggestions? Can I get the stock ones for cheaper? Or does anyone recommend a good brand that is cheaper, and that will be ok with the tire pressure sensors?

try tirerack, they have very good prices too, they are also vendor here

280 a tire that's ridiculous. even my 20" tires are not that expensive

I'm assuming you have runflats? If so, $280/tire is about right. If you look up the OE tires on tirerack.com, you'll find that is about the same price that they charge (depends on what brand of tires you have now, probably either Bridgestone or Dunlop)

Most people around here though dont like the runflats which also happen to be cheaper too.

oh.. runflats? gs430 has runflats? i thought they have spare tires. if so, then yeah they are expensive. but especially if you actually have spare tire in the trunk, i don't any reason to have runflats. they ride horrible

i looked at replacement cost on the OEM Yoko advans last year when i got a nail thru the sidewall. the Advans on tirerack were like $275 or something i believe. so even the non runflats are not cheap!! but the Advans are horrible so to pay $275 for those is a joke.

we put on Michelin Pilot SPort A/S and love them, but they are not cheap either. i think i paid about $250 at costco but dealer was asking $300+

that is my favorite all around street performance tire...

i have sold all brands of tires, and there is nothing that compares with it in terms of ride quality to performance to price to wet weather traction...

they can be a little loud sometimes though...

GS430 comes standard with 18" wheels and runflats. Spare tire and/or all-weather non-runflats are options.

GS300 comes standard with 17" wheels and non-runflats. Spare tire is standard.

Not sure about the new GS350. My guess is it is like the GS430 since it comes with the same wheels now.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I really don't mind the runflats. I've had them on a number of cars over the years and while I wouldnt say that they are the "best", I would say they are acceptable. Usually the only reason I would swap them out on my cars is when I would go with larger wheels vs stock. If runflats came in sizes larger than 18", I would actually seriously consider them. But that's just me...

well, my main problems with them are handling and stiffness. their traction is horrible, and considering how stiff they are at 18s already, i can't imagine how bad the ride would be at 19s or 20s

the GS430 tire setup varies by region. ours came with non-runflats and a donut in the trunk (cheesy, right?). the non-runflats that came on ours were Yokohama Advans, which started to howl at about 5k miles.
