03 LS430 rims on a 2000 GS400
Hey guys,
Due to NYC road conditions and the fact that I bought my 2000 GS400 with some curbed up 17's, I decided to get some OEM chromies.
I found a great deal on a set of 03 LS430 chrome rims with tires and bought them. I mounted them the other day and I notice that on the highway the car shakes a bit. (speeds over 60)
I figured it was bad balancing, but I want to make sure that the wheels are supposed to fit the GS. I can't see why they wouldnt as both cars are RWD, with the same bolt pattern and I assume, the same offset.
If it's just balancing, I can have that fixed but I wanted your opinions first.
Thanks!

I am using the lugs from my GS 17's, which seem to be a bit short, as they fall deep into the lug holes on the LS430 rims. I think I need longer lugs

I bought McGard lugs, which were longer than my GS lugs and they still won't work. Now my car wobbles like crazy on the road, to the point where they sound like they're gonna fall off.
I asked the shipper to take them back in good faith.
If not, I'll put them up for sale here to an LS owner, as they are a great buy.
I put back OEM rims. I have such bad luck with modding-mods always make my car worse than before. (you'd think I'd stop modding-but unfortunately it's a disease I am dying from)

lets go with some nice looking aftermarket rims then, it will look 100 times better on your car anyways, at least u are not giving up, good luck hope to see pic of your car soon with some nice mods.

if the LS wheels' inner hub diameter is bigger than the one' s your GS has, then the wobbling will occur. you can get hub centric rings to center the rim.
from a quick yahoo search under "hub centric rings"...
