why do Lexus dealer charge double what Mercedes dealers charge for 4-whee alignment?

All 5 Lexus dealers near me charge anywhere from $179 to $195 for 4-wheel alignment.
on my '01 RX300.

For comparison, my MB dealer only charges $89 for 4-wheel alignment on my '04 S500.
(other MB dealers are even cheaper, at $69 to $79, but they don't offer a free ML350 loaner
during this service)

When I asked the Lexus service advisors about this, they offered no plausible answers...
The only one that was possible was that Lexus bills 2 labor hours for this service, whereas
MB deaalers only bill ONE labor hour.

Is it harder to do alignment on a Lexus????

Why would u wanna go down to the dealership for alignment in the first place?
Just go to some local tire shops and buy the lifetime alignment package for $130.

Do the dealers charge different prices for the cars vs. SUVs? This could account for some of the difference.

I go to an alignment shop that specializes in dropped cars....they charge $80.

mine here was also $79 i would never take my car to a local alignment shop for a lifetime that is usually when damage to your wheels occurs dealer only for me !!

Werd...I don't mind forking over a few extra bucks an alignment, because I know it will be done right
