Default IS350 caliper slide pin question

Looking for new hardware to do some brakes on a 2011 350 and the pins that Rockauto have for sale appear as if they come with a set of retainers for the ends if you look at wagner part no. H15027... Can someone tell me where these go? I've done a lot of brakes in my life and I've never seen pins like this on front calipers. The rears look similar but... What are the little retainers for then? Is this a typo?

Not a typo, have a look at this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...g-caliper.html

They aren't slide pins, they retain the brake pads, and they are held in the caliper with the clips.

It looks from the video he's doing the IS convertible model.

The previous post link shows where the retaing pins go clearly. Push the pins through then fasten the retainer to preven the pin from backing out.

Why would the brakes be different because of a convertible top?

They are not the same setup my i250 front brake are different too. Floating caliper vs the 350 is fixed.

The difference is between IS250 and IS350. The IS350 only has slider pins on the rear.
