I changed my brakes about 3 4 months ago. They been squeaking like crazy for the first 5 - 10 minutes of every drive, especially if its cold. If its stop and go traffic it will squeak all the way. I recently just bought a shim kit in hopes that it will go away. Anyone else had this problem its the low brake dust pads and new factory front rotors.

Did you grease the shim where it contact the caliper? If not then it gonna squeaking cause if dry contact.

Go to any auto parts store and near the registers they should have a small packet of anti-squeal grease for the brake pads. Grab one, and apply to the back of the pads. Also, anti-seize can be used for this application as well; but it might not have the same high temp resistance of that of the anti-squeal designed for the pads.

I had mine replaced just before winter and it got rid of the squeaking noise.
