Default Just got a used IS250 F Sport - which F Sport suspension bits do I already have?

Hi all,

I just purchased a 2013 IS250 F sport - it was fresh off a lease and is preowned certified so I'm pretty sure nothing was added. I was looking through the Sewell catalogue, looking to buy some F-Sport suspension bits. Which parts do I already have and don't have? Pretty sure I don't have the lowering springs since the pictures have much less wheel gap. Not sure about the sway bars and shocks.

Thanks!

A good peek underneath the car and any blue parts are a dead giveaway of F-Sport accessories (springs, sways, and or brace, F-Sport shocks have a natural metal brushed finish). That is really the only indicator of which F-Sport accessories were installed. Since you've been looking at F-Sport accessories (springs, sways, and shocks) they should stand out if you look underneath.

The F-Sport factory package only come with a very minimal factory drop (really small) in comparison to the non-F-Sport and exterior and interior styling (F-Sport badges and front bumper lip and interior color and materials).

An F Sport model does not come from the factory with any of the aftermarket F Sport parts that you saw in Sewell's catalog. So if you are hoping for aftermarket F Sport parts, you will have to do as knguyenk suggested and have a peek. Based on the fact that it is a lease return I wouldn't get your hopes up.

The Factory F-Sport does not usually come with any extra performance mods over the Non-Fsport. Someone correct me if I am wrong but it is only visual exterior items such as front bumper, badges, and some interior trim. F-Sport actually comes with Less than some other packages

The F-Sport does come with different shocks and springs, larger sway bars, larger rear brakes, different rear suspension arms and rear knuckles (updated geometry).

None of these are the same as the F-Sport accessory parts, but they are different from the normal non-F-Sport model.

THREADJACK: I had no idea about the part in bold, could you elaborate on which suspension arms changed? Eventually I want to replace all of the factory bushings on the car with FIGS/Superpro stuff, I figure to do this I will need to find a set of rear knuckles in a boneyard. With this knowledge I might have to find a set of F-Sport rear knuckles, and possibly some new rear arms...

The only arm that isn't different is the upper arm with the ball joint on the knuckle side.

All other arms and the knuckle itself are different on the F-Sport models. They were all lifted from the updates done to the IS F for the 2011 models.

Thanks Jeff! Do the changes extend to the subframe, or is it just the arms and knuckles? (Or is there a document somewhere that lists the changes to the '11 IS F somewhere I can reference?)

There were no changes to the subframe, just to the arms and knuckles.

I haven't seen an extensive list of what exactly the chances were, just "revised rear suspension geometry" etc. Then I just checked which parts had new numbers for the Sport suspension.

Not to thread jack but I have a question with the is250 f sport brakes. I need to replace my rear rotors and pads on a 2011 is250 fsport. The vendors aren't clear which rear rotors I need. I understand the rear is larger and ventilated compared to the non is250 fsport. Are the rear rotors the same size as the is350?
Any ideas? Thanks!!

The rear rotors on the 2011+ IS250 F-Sport are the same as the 06-13 IS350, yes.
