pedal to the metal to start braking..
Hello guys. I'm posting my first thread. I just bought an 06 obsidian 250 . I got a great deal on it. Has exhaust tips and lowering springs already. Cars amazing . I also have owned a first gen since 04. Car has clean carfax and is all original panels and no repainted panels.
My simptoms are, I'm driving go to brake and pedal starts to respond almost an inch to the floor . I've ordered and replaced the master cylinder , bled brakes , test run and nothing . Same symptoms.
Used the computer to do the air test( not sure what that is ) at my buddys shop . Re-bled brakes. Same symptoms.
Upon replacing the master I looked into the booster in case there's an internal leak and cuased bad seals . But was completely clean .
Any one that can help, much obliged.

Some reported that their caliper sliding pins were seized and caused the low brake problem. Have you check yours? Another possible cause is seized/stuck brake piston (the one that pushes brake pad against the rotor).

^Basically with the seized rear calipers you remove the caliper from the rotor. If the outer portion of the caliper doesn't easily push in/out (even with the hydro line still attached), it's likely seized. The caliper has a sliding pin design, and the geniuses that designed the seal around that pin went to lunch. Over not much time, moisture gets around the seal and ends up rusting up that pin from the inside. I've got a totally rusted caliper and a half-rusted one up in the attic.

Thank you g. I'm doing that now as we speak. Have the wheels off and checking each caliper. So far the culprit that's giving bleeding problems is rear right . But I'm going into taking it apart now .

I ran out of time at my buddys shop. but so far right rear was stuck got it loose pedal still feel the same . Gonna do them all on sunday . Ill keep you guys posted ..

Ok . So I basically took the two rear calipers out. Cleaned them , lubed them , sanded down the pins for free flow . Lubed the pins . Placed everything back . An still the same feeling. I wasn't able to do the fronts but apparently it's usually the rear from what I've read. I'm gonna do the front on Monday and see what happens .
I think if nothing happens then ill get new calipers .

mine was doing the same thing. I could not even get the caliper off the pin...it was really stuck. I replaced the calipers in the rear and it made a huge difference.
