Upper Control Arm
Hello, i got the same problem right now in the same side. i changed the sway bar bushings and the end link but we found out that the upper control arm ball joint is loose a little bit and is making that noise.
I hope you can solve your problem with this.
Regards,

well my upper ball joint was busted so i bought new upper control arms and it still does it so i guess ill buy new sway bar link ends and put em on and see but i think the bottom ball joint is gone too. on the top ball joint you gotta buy the whole control arm but do you have to buy lower control arms or can you just buy the bushing?

You can buy OEM bushings for the #1 lower control arm. You can only get OEM #2 lower control arm bushings installed in the arm. You can get figs replacements for both bushings.

The noise your hearing is your upper control arm making contact with the top of your shock tower. A lot of Lexus guys deal with it, cut a hole so the control arm passes through it, or stiffens the heck out of the front coils. I raised the spring rate on my stance coils to 14k/12k on my old is300 and will be doing the same with this one. That reduces the clunking quite a bit. Hope this helps.
