another L-tuned?
I went to get a quote from my Lexus dealership and asked if the L-tuned lowered the vehicle? His answer was no it does not lower it but stiffens the ride. Is their 2 types of L-tuned suspension??
Also, is it true that I would need to have L-tuned installed at the dealership otherwise void my warranty?
They quoted my $1100 for the shocks and struts is that reasonable?

Springs will lower the car(if they are lowering springs, in which L-Tuned are). They will also stiffen the ride a little bit. It does help the handling, but not as much as if you were to install front and rear anti-sway bars, which reduce, if not pretty much eliminate the leaning while taking/going into a turn. I have both on my current car, and will probably get springs/shocks/sways for my GS as well.

CMC5DC,
L-Tuned Shocks and Springs will lower your car slightly. I just had them done with the help of Eddie at Lexus of Manhattan. The handling is improved and the car no longer looks like it is floating on air!

Will lower it 1.25 inches, but it will look like more.
Actually, the strut won't lower it, the springs do that job. The struts damp the boinging up and down that would otherwise occur over bumps/dips in the road.
The only time I've noticed any increased harshness in ride is over really short, sharp bumps like tar strips. The rest of the time the car feels as comfortable as on stock suspension. Actually, more so in some ways, since the car no longer has that slightly queasy, porpoising sensation as if the body were moving around relative to the suspension. Highly recommended; this SHOULD be the stock suspension!!!
So their is only 1 shock/strut that L-tune offers and with that it lowers the car?
