Default supra brakes, got the specs?

Does anyone know where i can buy the supra brake set up? I have seen the RMM set up for about $1150 which i understand is the same thing.

Also, is the rotor 13.5 inch in the front and back? Looks like the stock ones are 12.5 inch.

What's the difference in the 4 piston caliper from a stock gs400?

Can someone with this setup PM me. I'd love to here the differences from stock. Noticible braking difference?

Thanks for the help. This looks like my next mod. Just got my l-sportline suspension... Drives better than it did before.

The rotors are like 12.5" inches, not 13.5"...and that's only for the front....Call Steve Ganz (SupraTRD) at 800-90-TOYOTA or PM him...

jbbnet... That was one of the mod that I was planning to do.. but due the size of the caliper.. I had to back off.. until someone in MA has them.. and allow me to physical measure the caliper size...in person before I pursue...any further...

You need to be sure that the SSR GT3 will clear the caliper.. ask if any CL member has the rim w/ supra/rmm brake..

Its not the size of the rim..... its the offset and spoke design.. any aftermarket caliper req a lot of room to clear the caliper...

Shinchan,

I made a cardboard template of my Supra Calipers so you could check the clearance of any wheel. All you have to do is place it against the back of the wheel you want to check and see if it touches any part of the rim.

I need to figure out how to scan the template and post it as a pdf file or something so that people can access it on the web and make their own template.

I'll post it once I figure out the best way to do it.

Anyone got any ideas how I could do this?

hey RMMGS4
why does your profile say 13in supra rotors? Manaray just said they are 12.5"?

What is the difference with supra brakes? If the disk is the same diameter and they are both 4 piston calipers, i don't see the difference.

Bigger pistons? More sq inches of brake contact?

RMMGS4.. I am very interested in that cardboard ... It would be very helpful for another CL member..

You will need Adobe acrobat Generator... Do you have one?

If not.. can you send it to me via fax? I can PM you with my fax number?

Thanks

jbbnet,

Yeah, after Manaray made that comment, I realized my profile may be wrong. I got that spec off of something I read somewhere. It could of been mis-stated.

All I can say is that they are 1 inch larger in diameter than stock.

I may be mistaken but I think that the stock GS400 rotor is 11.1" and thew SupraTT is 12.7".

For whoever is wondering, the SSR GT3 will easily clear the SupraTT caliper using either 18" or 19".(without specifying high disc) The GT3 that Tire Rack sells for the GS is the same wheel they sell for the SupraTT.....
The offsets even match.. You need to double check the fronts, but 19x10 +41 is the ONLY rear offset offered by Tire Rack......
