Squeaking from front end over dips, help!
I am getting bad squeaks coming from front end when I drive over bumps and dips. I live in FL, and today was kind of cold compared to the weather we had here for awhile. It was 50 degrees outside. I noticed my car squeak in the front end on both sides of the wheels. I have 2001 GS430 100k miles with Tein CS v2 with stock 17" wheels, Mods: Daizen control arm bushings, new tie rods, and ball joints. Does anybody else experience the same thing with these mods during colder weather? Is there a chance that my mech who intalled Daizen control arm bushings did not use enough greese provided by Daizen, and now with colder weather it squeaks? I mean, he used like half of those greese packs, and not all. He told me since bushings are squeezed in, access greese would just get pushed out anyway.
P.S. I just ordered OEM replacement Daizen sway bar bushings and steering rack bushings, getting these installed this week, most likely.
Also, I still have a loose feel in my steering going over rough brick pavement driveway about 5-10mphans on certain bumps on highway. It feels like my steering gets disconnected and loose when it happens. My girlfriends IS300 with 45k miles does not do that. I have been fighting this steering problem since day one, when I first got this car with 80k miles. Most of the steering slop was fixed by changing the rack and rack joint, and then tightening the pre-tentioner.. I also got this clunk in the right side of the front wheel when I go off the driveway onto the road. I think sway bar bushings would maybe take care of that.. Any ideas guys?
