Installed L-Tuned: hearing clunking noise
After installing L-tuned s/s a week ago, now i'm hearing some clunking noise from the rear.
Sounds like something is loose, not all the time, just when turning.
Did they install it incorrectly?

hi and welcome to cl
when installer put them in did they use factory bump stops or ltuned bumpstops
make sure the factory ones were used or you will have noise also check to make sure spring is seated properly on the bottom of perch also make sure the sway bar ends are trqd

removing the rear wheel will NOT do anything.
Bump stops are on top of shock rod...covered by the mounts....im 99% sure you can't see it by removing the wheel.
Just ask the installer if they used the Ltuned YELLOW rear bump stops or the stock BLACK bump stops.
If YELLOW...then probably this is the culprit for your clunking.
Also, check if the springs were aligned properly. Here's a thread i started awhile back on noise issues with Ltuned s/s.

Good luck.

I did the install myself 2 weeks ago and used the new yellow L-Tuned bump rubbers and have NO noise issues. Maybe everyone installed them wrong? I did it so looking from the outside of the car in to the axle you are able to read the english writing (so I put in down with english writing readable and not upside down)
Check to see everything is bolted down correctly.

I did my l-tuned install with the l-tuned replacement bumpers in the rear.
Occassionally, I hear them bounce because they float freely on the rod.
I have often wondered if some contact cement would be enough to hold them at the bottom of the rod and solve it.
