Default which setup to go with if i have a system in back

If i have a sound system in the trunk that will constantly weigh the system down, which spring set should i go with.

also, which shock to match it would give me the best near-factory ride.

im going to get 18" wheels

225/40/18 front

265/35 or 40/18 back (please tell me 35 or 40 is better)

thanks

honestly if you have system in the back, i don't think any springs would do you good coz' they are designed with no system in mind

i would get coilovers

What are the sizes of the wheels? 225 seems narrow for an aftermarket GS wheel. Is the front 18x7.5?

For the rear, 265/35. 40 series will put you out of spec. As it is, the outside diameter with 35 series will already not match up with the 225. 40 series will make it worse. Also, with taller tires, you'll add to the lowering problems with the system.

hey sup thanks for the replys

the front is 18x8, is 225 too naroow for that? the reason im using 225 becasue i have 4 brand new falken st115 18" tires, and i thought that it would fit nicely in the front, would the 225 be too narrow?

and for the rear, it will be 18x9. the reason i went with the taller tires is becasue i thought that since im getting 18s instead of 19s or 20s, i could use the taller tires. but if i need to go thinner, plz tell me why

please tell me what are the specs for 18x8 front +38 offset and 18x9 +38 offset tires are

and I would have problems with rubbing and lowering even with 18s on the 40 series/35back series tire setup?

i just got my car, and i got 215/60/16s on it right now (becasue the old rims were wrecked and the previous owner put LS rims on it)

the handling and feel at high speed is like a very "nervous" feel right now

i know i need to get these new 18s asap, i just want to know the ideal setup.
I want the ride to be as smooth and quiet as possible, and no bottoming out
I would also like the drop to be very nice, maybe 1-2 fingers ?

I would get coilovers but my budget is ~ 500-700$ for springs/shocks (700 being pushing it)

btw, in this thread

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=123785

there is a black gs with the 18" rims that GammaLex shows

what tire size would i need to get to get that kinda drop

and what shocks should i get to match

would 18x8 and 18x9 get me that kinda look if i bought the daizen?

would that low of a drop allow me to carry my system ( 80-120 pounds) in the back and still carry 3 other people without bottoming out on the highway when it changes elevation suddenly?
