Daizen sways, install in my garage?
Are the sways something I can install myself (I'm a fairly proficient sport bike mechanic)? Or should I take it to a shop?
Any feedback is appreciated.

its an easy DIY i recommend torqueing the upper bracket, still connected to your car even after you remove your orginal sways, so you dont get that squeak spring sound.

It's something you can easily do yourself. Plan on about 2 hrs.
While I only replaced the bushings with Daizen ones, to replace the sway bar would also include taking off the 2 bolts on each end link. Here's what I did for the bushings to give you an idea of the work involved:

However, check out the factory diagram to get a full idea of all the parts you'll need to remove (rather few actually). Again, to do the whole bar replacement, it will be like for the bushings replacement that I did but you WILL have to remove the end link bolts that attach to the sway bars. Good luck.

I did this mod myself in my garage...Daizen bushings at first....then a couple months later....upgraded to the entrie Daizen sway kit.
Bushings only will take about 1.5 hrs for a first-timer like me. The whole sway kit took me about 4 hrs. cuz the rear end-link needed to be reversed....and I had a problem loosening the bolt that held the spring/shock in place.
You sound like a gadget guy....so it should be easy for you.

i highly doubt there would be new bushings for the trd sways. i mean, why would you want them? the car would become very stiff, and you can fish tail it very easily on corners. keep in mind, balance of the sways is BOTH sways and the bushings. changing the bushings on the trd to poly ones, it's pretty much like mixing sways and stuff -- you can't predict anymore
