Question on RC350 2017 Lowering springs
Hi Everyone,
I have an RC 350 F Sport 2017 on order, I want to ask a question, there is an option -Lowering Springs which I did not select
on my custom built, what do these springs actually do and do i really need them? Of course this option also ads $675.00 to my tab.
Thx- ALRC350

Thanks AV8OR, The cons are are a little to much for me. This is my first sports car and I just do not to go out of my comfort zone.
It is amazing, in discussing this option with the dealer, nothing was said about the cons.

The F-Sport springs give a very conservative drop, so with a proper alignment I doubt there will be significant different on tire wear. I just lowered my car with RS-R Down springs and it simply made the car sit "normal", Toyota/Lexus tend to have horrible height setups out of the factory on nearly all their cars for some reason that for a coupe the RC looks like it's on the height of a crossover/utility vehicle. I can't see these bottoming out at all and you can approach dips and ramps normally just fine because the overhang on the front of this car isn't so bad. My entry to my garage has a ramp right out of the gate and it clears it with plenty of room for error whereas my old Cayman GTS would occasionally scrape depending on the angle and my Cayman GT4 would 100% scrape. Other cons I do see however is some marginally accelerated shock wear, lower clearance for heavy snow, and extra road vibration feel especially in Sport/Sport+ mode (but this can be a desirable thing depending on person).
