Can LED headlight bulbs be installed on an LS430?

Why do you want to do tha?
yes it can. But if you have HID you need to bypass the ballast. Then need a resistor so you don't get a worming massage.
But you will not get the correct light pattern projected on the road. As the lens in the housing is designed for the light source to be in a specific location, witch the led will not provide.
You ma get more light out of it but it will be scattered and most probably less rang and blinding incoming cars.
you have to use the correct bulb for the lens.

Look better but you see less on the road & blind incoming traffic.
Its up to you if you what to do it. But keep in mind if you are replacing an hid bulb withe led you have to bypass the ballast. As the ballast is a stepup transformer and the led most probably will be 12v.

I was wondering as well, what is it that the OP is looking to accomplish. If this below, there is no way.
I had 2016 BMW loaners for over 4 mos. due to the Takata recall, the 2nd of which had adaptive LED. I thought that rain sensing wipers were the greatest thing since sliced bread, that changed once I drove a car with adaptive LED made by BMW.
Think about it, every Toyota Corolla has LED headlamps, yet they come with drum brakes in the back. So LED in itself does NOT mean better. I believe in these applications, the motive is lessened power consumption, not illumination of the road.
If you look at some of the cheaper LED setups, like an Acura MDX, where there are a series of bulbs, maybe this is better than a Corolla/Prius, but it's not like the BMW adaptive.
Anyway, since the LS430 has adaptive HID, and this uses less power than halogen, imho there isn't much reason to change them out.....my .02

They are difrent. LED head light are not the same as Running light or Daytime lights. The row of LED's that you see in almost all new cars are not disgned for ulumenation they. They come on whe you start the vehicle in the day or night the purpose is to be more notesable during the day. You can search day time running light to learn more.
as LEF headlights only few vehicles have thim as it is a reletivly new to the industry, so as usual it is resived for high end vehicles befor it becomes Standered on all high and low end vehicles.
ad they head light housing is designed to protect the correct beam pattern that an LED creates. If you are lucky to get hold of such headlight housing dissect it and you can see the difrence. Or just google and read about it. Then you can understand why you should not chand your halogen housing to HID or LED, or your HID housing to Halogen or LED.
