1999 LS400 P1351 Code
Car has a P1351 code, not sure what it is. Timing belt was done a year ago by the previous owner, and it is only the P1351 code, NOT the P1354 code that usually goes along with it. The car also has misfire codes that come and go randomly, but I have a feeling that is due to the spark plugs since I am pretty sure they were only changed once in the cars 200k miles, so that might be unrelated. Where should I start in fixing this?

Yeah, but I don't have those symptoms. I only have the P1351 code, not the 1354, and my car runs smooth as day, unlike what that poster described. The VSC does come on when the check engine light comes on. Does this mean it could be a dirty or bad oil control valve?

just change your oil control valve, its a ~$30 part.
my car was randomly misfiring and throwing a vvt malfunction code and changing the ocv got rid of those codes.
