Just picked up a 14 IS250 and it only came with 1 key fob. Looking to add at least 1 maybe 2 spares. Why do so many used cars nowadays only come with 1 key? Are previous owners keeping one themselves as momentos?

My previous Lexus cars I was able to get blanks with the correct chip, have them cut and then program them myself using the various methods as long as I had a master. I'm assuming this is totally different now however.

What options do I have with this car? Dealer only?

They got one the size of a credit card. Looks real decent but it doesn't have buttons to unlock, just a hard key on the corner.

I agree with what PatrixUSA said. It should come with 2 key fobs.
