My first post, just got a 2015 GS350 (my 10th Lexus) and the first time I tried to turn to Sport mode the **** wouldn't budge. Took it to dealer and it
moved freely (of course). Since then it has frozen up several times and I have gotten it to move, but it took a lot of gentle and not so gentle twisting.
Whatever it is, the dealer will have to fix it (warranty), but wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Am really surprised, since never had ANY
problems with other Lexuses (as I said, I've had 10). Yhanx

I have never had this issue, is this car brand new (first owner) or are you the second owner. If your the second owner maybe someone spilled coffee or something there and it is causing problems.

Thanx for the reply. No, not original owner. I suspected the problem was something like that (didn't think it was the cars fault). Biggest
concern is that warranty won't cover it. Wonder how entailed it is to disassemble **** myself and clean it?
thanx for input.

Next time that happens, take a video of it, and see if dealership will look into it based on it. If not, I'd suggest finding a different dealership.

I can tell you about it. Due to the design and location of the ****, sticky stuff like a drop of coke can get stuck in the dial enclosure. It basically sits in a fitted cup and if something gets lodged in there it will be hard to turn depending on the crud and the temperature. This happened to me. I ended up using an eye dropper full of anhydrous rubbing alcohol (no water content) and applying it to the gap at the bottom of the **** while turning it. The alcohol will act as a solvent and dry completely.

This is why I joined CL and this thread. That's great advice Afrosheen, makes perfect sense and I will try it right away.
Thanx man (and others who contributed).
