Hello Everyone,

I had 2 bad cats in the oem system so I put on a full exhaust from the headers. OBX headers. After welding on two cats on the new down pipe I am still getting fumes in the cabin that get me dizzy. There are no leaks as i was told. What could be causing this? Maybe the CEL I got on for EVAP, the only CEL I got? I also got a SAFC which I am hoping will solve this problem, as I was told it may be because of the air fuel ratio is off. I hope someone can help me out on this issue, I cannot understand why it is in the cabin so heavily.

I would guess the leak is at the manifold if it is getting into the cabin.

sorry to tell you but since you don't have cats anymore, your getting the noxious fumes the cats would have "cancelled" out. your just smelling stuff now that didn't exist before. the only way to resolve it is to reinstall catalytic converters. I know this from experience from a Tahoe I put long tube headers on with no cats and the gas odor fumes was more than I could handle. it'll make your eyes water like you said. and don't even think about letting it warm up in a garage.

just realized you said you installed cats. but if there too far away from the cylinder heads than they might not be "lighting off" like they should which basically won't make the cats work like they should.

I talked to the mechanic again today. He still guarantees me that there are no leaks. The cabin of the car is stained with the smell of wet fuel. Even after days of fresh air coming in the car it reeks of wet fuel. It is seriously disappointing this "mechanic" cannot find the cause of this, it is clear something is wrong before the cats... Can anyone help me with some words of wisdom?
