We have done a lot of the repairs. The parts are on a manual release but it should only take an extra day to get the parts. I did my wifes GX last year and she has not made mention of it since.

Hello All, I was at CarMax earlier today and I test drove a 2007 GX 470 and I experienced the "clunk" stopping at a stop sign. The GX I test drove had less than 7,000 miles on the odometer. By the way CarMax was selling the GX for $43,599 which I thought was a little high. I think I will go test drive the '08's and make my decision. We want to get the GX because we need more room. The GX drove very nicely and I'm very impressed with the SUV...

GX sales are down 27.1% for the month of May 08' compared to May 07', and down 10.1% year over year. You should be able to get a pretty good deal on a GX right now if you can find one in inventory that you want. I'd bet at least 10% to up to 14% off sticker...

Just picked up my 2005 w/32k mi on it yesterday after dropping it off at Lexus of Rockville to have the "CLUNK" fix. Rides like a dream and no CLUNK. They had all of the parts available so I had my truck back within 24 hrs and cleaned up to boot. Ask for Chris King in Service he will take good care of you.

We had the clunk fix performed on our 2004 last Friday. Bergston Lexus in Appleton performed the work with no issues. We had to leave it with them for a few hours the week prior so they could determine what I already told them. From that visit they ordered the parts and got our GX in about a week later. Took them about 4 hours and they also replaced a tire pressure monitor and repaired the windshield molding that was loose.
