For those of you guys running H4/9003 bubs, pm me for a good write up on how to modify a majority of the wiring harnesses sold with hi/llow HID kits to allow both high/low functionality.

I'm thinking HID would also not look that great in 1gen LS400s because of the headlamps (anyone have any pics?). I wish they sold modern headlamp replacements for it like the tail lights.

Why all the bad and negative press fellas. HID kits can look good. Will they look perfect, well no. But a 6000K kit on a first gen will look good. I am getting mines soon so I will post up pics.

I do agree with the JDM fog thing. I dont like it. Now if the fogs were in the bumper I would like the yellow.

this isnt about6 looks but about functionality.

HID's in a 1st gen will cause massive glare for oncomnig motorists, theres simply no way around that aside from aiming the headlights full down, in which case you lose the range u were trying to gain in the first place.

If the kit is installed to the best possible you can get minimal glare. Obviously it wont be perfect but with no other options I will be going this route. Especially with my tinted windshield now.

Let us know how it looks and about the glare issue.

I have xenon HIDs in my 93 ls and the light doesn't scatter. Beautiful vision. Not sure of you folks are assuming or if you actually up graded but I have no issues and no complaints from friends or family.

HID technology has advanced so much since 2006 (when this post was created)!
today bulbs are designed to be closer to the original bulb pattern. back then it was very poor!
