Default Is there a good plug-and-play HID kit for 92 SC300?

Hi guys,

I am pretty clueless when it comes to HID kits. Is there a good plug and play kit for a 92 SC300 or do all the kits require special tools or modifying the headlights in some way?

I am just looking to install HID kit in the day lights.

I am also kind of on a budget. Can someone point me in the right direction?

So these kits are truly plug and play? Should I install the relay as well or is that pointless? I figured with the relay it will draw power from the battery and be safer?

Hi,

It depends on the kit that you purchase.

1) If the ballasts in the kit are low draw (like the ones in the XenonDepot HID kits), you can safely power them directly from the OEM wiring without having to worry about damaging your OE wiring. If the ballasts you get are not low draw, or well made - you can potentially cause some damage.

2) You also want to be careful about the bulbs in the HID kit. 35W HID kits will not produce more heat, but all HID bulbs produce a large amount of UV. If the bulbs in the kit are not made of high quality uv quartz glass, you will prematurely age your headlights, and cause them to yellow.

3) XenonDepot HID kits will come with a proper mating connector that will literally plug into your OE wiring.

Well Steve, you got me sold!

I ordered a VOLT Digital 9006 kit for SC300 low beams yesterday at KBCarstuff.

Excited to put it on.

I hope it comes with directions lol

Awesome!! Thank you very much for your business. Please post up some feedback about the Volt HID kit once you get it installed. Also, we are available for technical support should you require any assistance with the installation.
