Default Pioneer 4200nex installation

Having a unit installed in our 2008. Question envolves the units microphone. Physically visible. Do not like that.

as far as I understand it the mic is for calls that the in car OEM Bluetooth nav system already can do as far as I know.

New to the car.

Lots here have done double DIN setup's so any feedback would help my installer.

Locate mic above the steering wheel, right below gauges, it's visible but looks purposeful and most importantly works great here top up or down.

BTW I installed that deck too....terrible head unit.

Kenwood only from now on; learned my lesson on this one.

My shop has done a lot of convertibles and no longer mounts the mic up high. Noise issues with the top down was mentioned.

they put the pioneer mic in the lower edge of the dash over the gas pedal. Little notch area.

works very well.

what issues did you have in your 300?
