Odometer Fraud
So this popped up on my top feed today. Found it pretty interesting. I would venture a guess to say that the "device" he's using is a OBDII reader. I'm not sure if TechStream has this capability, but just something I thought was worth the conversation.

You would have to do it as you went along or it would show on car fax. Car fax wouldn't show if there was no service history. I guess it just makes service history that much more important.

Just go with your gut too. Are the pedals worn more than the mileage. The seats, buttons, steering wheel, even if the mileage is right the car had a ruff life. Walk away or pay according to the other signs.
Obviously this is something anyone can do.

Well, I mean I love my car and never plan to sell it, but odometer tampering is the furthest thing from my mind. Totally dishonest. Additionally, I have never really bought a used car so it never crossed my mind. When I heard about rolling back the odometer, i envision the old school Ferris Bueller way... haha. THIS is some high tech shenanigans.

Yeah I don't understand people like that. The same ones stealing identities, and cream cards. Why not put that effort towards something beneficial to them and society?

Pole Position
Never crossed my mind. Luckily, my car has service record.
