Hey Harold, you know, I should have tried a cloth and iron...that was a good suggestion.

The antenna is for Sirrius XM satellite radio, the OEM nav antenna Is located under the package tray, so I decided to use the same location...never any cutouts...

I guess my main concern with using an iron (& possibly steam) is the potential for damaging the area outside the repair. Then again, I guess if after the treatment a flat piece of steel or hardwood was placed on top with a weight on it to allow the treated area to cure would mitigate that concern.

XM satellite antenna, that makes sense. I forgot about those. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that the OEM GPS antenna is located under the dash in front though.

Hey Harold, where did that illustration originate?
I ask because the Lexus service manual shows it in the back under the package tray.

Check out this link, scroll down and look for the picture with words GPS under it. This is from a 2003 Lexus SC430 Service Manual.

Hmm, really good question. I'm assuming that I got it off of this forum. The file is dated 2009, so someone must have posted it back then. I wonder if they made a change of the GPS antenna location between 2002 & 2003? (I titled the file "02 GPS Antenna" back when I saved it. So it may be specific to the 2002.)

Found it. It was from a post by VVTiBob back in 2009 (post # 3). From the sounds of it, the 2002 & 2003 have different GPS antenna locations. No wonder we've been confused all these years.

Default Bubble on Rear Deck

I have an approximately 2-3" bubble on my 2003 SC430. The posts I have reviewed here have given me some ideas on how to tackle the issue. I got an insulin needle with a very fine point. I will keep you posted.

I also see the XM antenna mounted on the deck here. I just had an XM install and my installer put my antenna underneath. The radio works just fine.

I have this problem on the top side parts. Next the the rear quarter Windows. I may have to try some of these suggestions. It's not as noticeable because the area isn't flat.
