Default Jacking up car for just one wheel...question

When jacking up the car to elevate just one wheel
( like changing a flat tire ), where do you place the
jack ? Is there a marked point, or do you just place
the jack under the frame rail near the wheel ?

Underneath the car, there's a metal strip that sticks down. The slot on the top of the factory jack fits into this strip. By each wheel, on this strip, are 2 notches cut out of the strip. The jack fits perfectly between those 2 notches.

Assuming you have NEVER raised a car before, like he said ^^^^ the EXPOSED metal rail sticking down by side skirts is your lift point!

If you have questions it is probably a good idea to do a practice run in the garage, as you will also get to check and make sure everything (including a flashlight and the wheel lock key) is in the trunk.
