Default Few Questions ?????

1. How do you replace the bulbs on the fog lights. The manual says take it to the dealer . I am sure there is a way to do it yourself.

2. Anyone got pics of a black sc430 with tint. Pleas post pics and description of tint. Debating on tint or not to tint.

Thanks

Dennis,

I realy don't know but thought I'd at least answer you since everyone else seems to be ignoring your question.

Take a trip to your local dealer and chat with one of the mechanics about it. I did that with my VR4 when I changed the foglight bulbs to PIAA's.

Larry, it's not that we're ignoring him. (You know how quick this group is to chime in.) It's just that most of the rest of us aren't do-it-yourselfers.

I just want to stick the key in the ignition and go. Lexus Service can do the rest.

I changed mine to PIAA super plasmas. They look much whiter and brighter the originals. Here are the steps:

1- Get under the front of the car. There is a line of bolts and plastic screw fasteners that run from one side of the car to the other, take these out.

2-Pull the underbody plastic covers out. You only need to pull out the plastic covering the area where the foglights are located.

3- Reach inside the foglight assemly (tight fit) and feel around for a metal spring loaded latch that holds the bulb in. You have to push the latch towards the front of the car and up or down (sorry can't remember).

4- Pull out the bulb and replace.

It is a little time consuming unless you have a lift.

Do you have a part number for the ones you used. Thanks very much, Do you have any concerns about increased heat from the new bulbs? Or are they the same just different colour?

I used PIAA H3 super plasma bulbs. They are 55 watts which is the same wattage as the originals but are much brighter and match the HIDs better. I've had these in for a few months now and have not noticed an increase in heat.
