VSC/Malfunction Indicator Lamps Problems. Suggestions?
As I drove up my driveway this a.m. the VSC, VSC OFF, and Malfunction Indicator Lamps in the left guage cluster came on (simultaneously). I pushed the VSC button, checked the fuel level (1/3 full) and tightened the gas cap as common sense (re. VSC button) and the owner's manual prescribed. All for naught. Given that, the manual instructs me to go to the dealer ASAP.
I know correlation does not indicate causality, but such a conclusion is certainly tempting. Does anyone have any suggestions about the cause of the problem(s) and what I can do to solve it short of taking it to a dealer/indy? I presume that applying the temporary electrical tape solution to cover the lights in the guage cluster and then taking the SC on this weekend's long road trip poses no great risk to the car. So it goes . . .
Your help will be appreciated.

There are a whole slew of things that can cause the VSC indicator lights to come on, from wheel senors, to zero calibration and so on. If you search, there is a solution that involves resetting the lights via the OBDII port.

VVTiBob: You are correct, sir! A search of "VSC reset using OBDII port" yielded two answers: Either use a reader to reset the codes or disconnect the battery. Not (yet) having a reader, I disconnected the battery. Shazam! The warning lights were gone (after reconnecting the battery, of course). No info on the cause, so I'll see how long the "fix" lasts. Thanks for the help re. search terms.

VSC light on and malfunction indicator lamp on as well
Hello,
I am an owner of a Lexus IS 250 2007 make. I turned on the car and it showed a check VSC with the exclamation mark on as well. The malfunction indicator lamp is on as well. When i went to the gas station, they found out that the coolant was really low, they put 1 litre but the light is still on and so is the VSC. Can someone please help before i take it to the dealer and will get one thousand and one things to change.
thanks
