Sunroof Or Panorama roof ?
Driving to work this morning it was overcast but warm. I really wasn't anxious to put the top down but would have liked to see the sky and if possible to open the roof slightly. While it must seem crazy I would like to put a glass insert like the mercedes panorama roof or a sunroof in the roof. Has anyone ever done that? Does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks for thinking about this.

The idea is not completely nuts. My Subaru Forester has a huge roof panel that opens completely, but it is transparent and there is a blind underneath that slides back. So you can keep the roof closed to keep the rain out yet have the blind back and get the light. Or see the stars on a cold night.
Can't imagine how this could be put into my SC430 though.

I like that idea
Oooohhhhh Silvertoy,
That would be the ultimate, huh? A see-through, hard-top convertible! Wow! Now we're thinking outside the box! Somebody call Lexus, quick!

Only problem with this idea is the structural rigidity of the car would be compromised thus making a total redesign necessary.. But I love the idea.. On those too cool days to have the roof down here in Toronto it would be nice to drive along and have the scernary of a panorama roof..
Maybe someone from Lexus will see this and one never knows what might happen..
