Those with 6 speed trannys...gear indicator?
Does anyone have a pic of the gear indicator on the instrument cluster
that shows what gear you're in when you use manual shift mode ?
thanks.

I don't have a picture, but it's directly under the other characters (at the bottom) of the PRNDL stack. It only comes on when you move the shift lever over to the "Manual" gate. By default, it will show "4" until you move the lever (up or down).

By showing "4" does that mean the transmission is in
4th gear ? What if you move the shifter to manual
when you're at a stop light ? The car won't try to
pull away in 4th? right ?

If you hold the gas pedal down, It will either respond to your manual shifts, or go almost to red-line & then shift itself. ...it won't let you over-rev.
If you put the lever in the left gate, use the console switches to go into "power" mode, and turn off traction control ...it's like a different car - (including the button under the dash to the left of the steering wheel - hold them for about three to five seconds to make sure they stay on). Just make sure you are on a dry road and not in traffic - it can get away from you very quickly...it WILL slide around corners (or spin-out) if you nail the throttle. The stock suspension is not set up for fast cornering or powerslides ...loads of fun though.....

In manual shift mode, if you've been cruising in 5th gear and you
slow to a stop, will it downshift for you automatically so you're
ready to take off again in 1st ? Can you feel the downshifting
from 5th to 4th to 3rd to 2nd to 1st ...like if you were doing this
with a car with a clutch?
