Driver's Memory Seat not working
I thought instead of highjacking someone's thread, I should have created a new one. Please forgive the double post.
I have a 2006 sc430 and have been having problems with the drivers memory seat although the passenger one works fine.
I have disconnected my batter for 5 minutes, moved the passenger seat all the way forward, heard the beep. Moved the reclining part all the way forward until I heard the beep, and the memory seat for the passenger works great.
I moved the drivers seat all the way forward, heard the beep. Moved the reclining part all the way forward until I heard the beep, but the memory seat won't beep (when you hold set and a number). I even replaced my drivers mirror (didn't tilt down due to bad motor), but that didn't help. Of course, I did redo disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it resetting both drivers seat and passenger seat.
I should also add that this is the exact procedure my owner's manual says I should do.
Any other ideas on what could be causing this?
Thanks.

It's possible that the switch itself is bad. I imagine that you checked / verified the harness connection while you were in the door during the mirror replacement. As a test, you could swap the drivers switch with the passengers switch and see what happens.

I am happy to report that I am a dork. I pulled the door back off to verify the connections again when I saw that you were right. I didn't notice before because it was already disconnected and tucked behind the vapor barrier. All is well now.
Thank you!!!

Cool. We have all missed things like that.
With my memory seats, the drivers side wasn't working. The SC430 going into the shop for the timing belt / water pump job, so I asked the dealer to check out the memory seat issue. He said it needed the door switch and it would be $400 to replace / fix.
I logged on to Club Lexus, did a search and had it working in 20 minutes....
