TPMS Switch in GloveBox???
I'm taking apart my glove box to install my media player and found something I never noticed before:. a TPMS push button switch to the right of the glove box. I tried to search for "TPMS" and "glove box", no solid results after reading through. Anyone know what it''s for? Says TPMS "Main" and "2nd."

Its in the manual. This is to allow you to have a winter set of tires and a summer set of tires. Assuming you have tire pressure sensors in both sets . This allow you to switch tires and have them recognized by just pressing the switch to the appropriate settings for tire set 1 tire set 2.

I honestly had no idea. I didn't even know about the top valet switch until it was on this forum. I thought this TPMS switch would have been discussed on this forum, but after searching for it; nada. Didn't think about the manual, especially since this forum has the easy to use search feature. Next time, i guess I'll take it back to the basics and check the manual. Thanks for the info. :-)

Unfortunately, either a dealer or a tire shop with the specific specialized tools for your year of the SC430 will need to do it. I have the worst deal - the 2005 model had a hybrid system that was the most difficult to program supposedly. Cost me $100 to get the local Lexus dealer to do it even though I had the right sensors in there for my winter set. One other possibility is to see if anyone can clone your current set of sensors on the car and just use the cloned sensors on your new set of rims. Some tire shops know how to do it.
