How can this be possible I read it three times I thought it was just for the antenna with the plastic flexible center. But they actually say its for the entire system . Some thing is wrong ??

Seems legit to me. I think they are probably selling the entire kit, preassembled (motor, mast, and a variety of housings). But I can't guarantee its quality. Plus they have a 30 day money back guarantee and a high positive feedback. I mean if the telescoping antennae is what you'd want, it's a steal. It would entail replacing the entire motor unit though. More wrench time versus just replacing the mast if that's the only problem. Depends on the problem you're experiencing.

Usually, the mast can be beplaced... I've done this a few times on other cars with electric antennas...

There is nothing wrong with my antenna I just saw this on ebay and thought it odd. The seller has 98.6 % feedback but has 10 negatives in the last month.. I have never seen such a low price . Must be not the best quality.

For around $12 more you can get the OEM mast replacement kit from Sewell, assuming that your motor still works. I hear mine whirring after turning off the ignition, then it eventually shuts off. The mast however stays in the down position.

I discovered that my antenna mast (plastic internal part) is broken leaving most of the cable in the interior of the vehicle. I understand that I will need to expose the antenna motor to get the broken cable piece(s) out. Can anyone provide information how to get to the motor?

Not sure where you got $12 from. I just got one last week and paid around $50- from Sewell! And that was with the CL discount.

You're correct that Sewell charges around $50; my reply was to an earlier post in the thread about paying around $40 for an after market antenna that didn't always retract 100%. My suggestion was to pay an additional $12 for the OEM part that retracts 100% all the time.

I took the plunge yesterday and removed the antenna motor assembly to replace the broken internal mast. The link from Darthsid was extremely helpful! It was a little intimidating pulling all of the trunk lining and helped having purchased a $10 interior panel tool kit off flea bay to pull all the little plastic grommets and pop off some of the plastic tabs that cover the 10mm bolts that the link refers to. The only special tool needed (fortunately I have) was a Torx socket (star shaped socket with a star cluster) to remove the bolts that secure the trunk curtain sensor. The other tricky part was getting the antenna motor screws back from whence they came. There are a couple that use a nut to secure them so pay close attention to which ones use a nut vs. threaded flange. Anyway, it took almost three hours by the time I replaced the last trunk liner grommet. The new antenna works like a champ!
