I have a black SC430 and I am getting a new hood, what color should I paint it? leave it black, or go silver? any other ideas? its a 2003 black SC with black 20" XXR's

I would save stick with the black. You could mockup a silver hood in photoshop if you want to look. Good luck.

The idea of the carbon fiber is a good one. I wanted to do that back in 2006 or 07 to my 06 GTI. (Candy white w/black interior) At that time they didn't have anything wide enough to do the hood, without using two pieces thus creating a seam. I decided to go with a plain black vinyl. (one piece) It came out very nice. Plus, like scyul said, you can always pull it off if you don't like it, plus it was a lot less expensive to go that route, than to have it painted.

Personally, I think carbon fiber would look a little ridiculous on an otherwise stock SC. I'd only think about doing something like that with an aggressive body kit. Painting it a different color would look like you got a hood from the junk yard and couldn't afford to repaint it. I'd stick with black.
