I'm taking the car in for the timing belt thing and am asking the service department to disable a few features:

(1) The automatic locking feature is a PITA when I have to go back and get the keys to open the passenger door a couple of hours after parking the car.

(2) The steering wheel retraction upon removal of the ignition key is not necessary.

(3) The day-time running lights, because I want those following me to REALLY know I have applied the brakes.

Any thoughts about the pros and cons of doing so, and suggestions of other things I should consider having done while the technician is in there?

You find the CBEST TSB in this link https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...-my-02-sc.html, it's comment #3. Print it out, take it with, and give it to your service writer to be clear on which options you want changed.

#1 and #3 are obviously changable via CBEST; I was surprised to learn that #2 is also.
But I thought DRL were ONLY the front?
