Road Runner was my first choice. I had spent many hours tweaking with it and configuring it to do what I needed it to do. I loved the price (free) but, decided that I really wanted more (some) support; the kind of support you really only get with a pay product.
Another big thing that swayed me to CentraFuse was the fact that everyone who programs for Road Runner seemed to hitch their bandwagon on PhoneControl for the phone system...and the guy who wrote that just recently decided that he's not going to anymore. He's not going to support it or even sell it anymore.
Road Runner is GREAT if you love to program, tweak, fiddle, customize, modify, etc. But, I did enough of that with the hardware. I wanted the software to be a more "complete" system.

Regarding tiny keyboards... maybe something like? http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/478
Wouldn't want to mount that thing in my car as it's kinda ugly as is. Gotta be some nice looking tiny keyboard out there.

I've already picked one of these up as a matter of fact!
I've played around with a mount to install it on the side of the center armrest, with the keyboard displayed sideways (facing the driver) on the armrest of the center console.
The main issue with it is, it only works at night.
The other problem is, with the mount I've worked up, I have to open the console, set up the mount, close the console, then activate the keyboard. Once it's setup and running, the "Wow" factor is certainly there but, I'd like to be able to get it so that it's a practical, useful solution.
My next addition to the CarPC is HD Radio. I already have the receiver and, the software I use supports it...just need to get a free weekend to install the module.

Here's the logo. I use it for "logo.png"- for the background, "splashlogo.png" - so it's also there during the boot-up sequence, and as my desktop wallpaper (with a black background) - so it's visible during Windows boot.
