Ignition problem. Ignition position behaves as On position.
Looking for some help.
Went to start my car. Turned the key over to ignition and nothing happened. No difference now between the On key position and the Ignition key position.
All dash lights stay on. Car doesn't crank. No spring tension to return the key to the On position, just stays in the Ignition position.
Car is a Canadian 1992 SC400, Coilovers, HIDs, 97+ steering wheel are the only mods.
Going to see if I can jump the starter relay tomorrow morning and get it moving.
Can you folks think of what might have failed and needs fixing?
Thanks for your help

Jumping the starter relay worked to get the car moving.
This morning I took apart some of the dash and got the lock cylinder out.
I'm not sure what the broken part is called but it sits between the cylinder and the ignition switch.
The tip that goes into the ignition switch has broken.
