Default My first SC, 7th Toyota.

Just thought I would say hello. I have been reading here for a bit, but haven't posted much until I picked her up. Just got her home last night and started the vigorous detailing project now. Its a 1994 Lexus SC400, with 142xxx. Overall the body and interior are in really good shape for a 20 year old car. Also now I have a 1UZ Toy and a 2UZ Toy.

She has a few issues that I will need to address. Still searching around for lots of info. Thanks for the great start, but I'm sure I will have questions.

Welcome, nice clean start. You'll want to polish those headlights and look thru the mega link thread.

Thanks all.

First thing I am working on is detailing. Body is really really good, sadly the paint is not. It has a ton of swirl marks and stuff in it. Trying to do some research on the best way to bring her back to glossy.

Polishing and buffing, it'll be some $ to buy the rotary tool, pads and compounds but the end results will amaze you.

Looks nice in the pics still

Thanks. I did get this stuff, and the rotary is a random movement one. Still a little nervous. Haven't really done this before, don't want to hurt the paint worse. Been doing research and watching videos, I think I am about ready to try this.
