Default Pics of 92 SC300 5spd Im thinking of buying

Here are the pics fo the 92 sc300 5spd Im thinking of buying. Got the guy down to $1,000 Ive just got to check the VIN number. This is the car I posted earlier about. The ECU doesn't work according to the guy and that's the only thing wrong with it. Im going into to it prepared to replace the engine. The front and drivers seats are to far gone to do the SEM fix on

Not bad, are you going to take a battery with you so you can start it? I noticed it's not there, unless is relocated? 1k, I'd buy for that price, lol. GL You could probably find some good deals on parts in the classifieds, either way...tons of information and knowledge here.

LOL, Yes re the battery I plan on taking the one out of my SC400 with me and Ive got an ECU from a buddy of mine that should be here tomorrow.

If I buy it will be for me and my 13yr old son to fix up so Ive got plenty of time to find deals on CL to fix it up. I would try and leave it as stock as possible and only change the interior from gray to black, lower it an inch and change out the stereo system. Other than that Im would try and leave it stock as much as possible.

Since it's a manual and OBD1 then this is a no brainer unless the frame is rotted. Even then it still would be worth decent money parting out if doing just for fun

Considering the tranny and engine are worth about $1,000 on their own, I guess it's a decent price considering it's also a full shell with suspension components. Your interior looks like an angry badger lived inside of it for the last six years.

Looks like a restorer to me! $1k is a good price as long as the body is straight.

I agreed to buy it for a 1k today we got it running. Its going to be a lot of work but should be fun fixing everything with my 13yr old son. Suppose to meet the guy Monday to have the title changed over and bring it home. The first thing im going to have to do is pull the interior out and put a tarp over it till we can start working on it. The floor boards have water in them im assuming from the sunroof holes being jammed. Ive got to finish the SC400 for my 16yr old before I can start on this one but hopefully that will only be a few more weeks.
