What is this in the trunk?
#16
sorry for bumping this, i just think its better to bump threads then making new ones...i have these on both sides of my trunk and im trying to maximize trunk space, i took out the carpets, cd chngr, stock amp, and cleaned the area, what will happen if i remove them? or should i just leave them? can they be modified? do all cars have these? thanks everyone!

i took mine out and been driving so for months. nothing happens. its there to relieve pressure from closing the trunk by opening the vents. but if its always open then there is no pressure. otherwise if you take a car ride with somebody in the trunk, im guessing they'll have a nice breeze as well. lol

**** you couldve helped me with my sc if you were here. lol. but you got a 400. what here you here for? anyways, yeah if it rains a lot i wouldnt leave it open. i'd be scared of my fusebox or amplifier or antenna getting wet. i know the chances are less likely considering it doesnt rain up. but then again the tires do throw water up. hmmm. idk.

Hey .. Leave it in. You live in the same state i do buddy lol. I left mine in and built stuff on top of it.
Btw. 97+ cars only have one. On the driver s side. The passenger side doesnt have any
Pre 97 has two
The flap will also prevent moisture from building up in your trunk so bad idea to remove! If you do. Seal it. Pretty big gaping hole just btw
