Default Removing wood grain trim

Hi,

The previous owner of my car put on this wood grain kit on the center console on through the radio head unit and well, I dont like it. Especially due to the fact that they look newer compared to the faded original trim and the wood grain near the shifter is damaged.

I thought about heating it up with a hair dryer and see if can be removed, but for anyone who has actually tried to removed these how did u do it?

ATP123, What year is your Sc? I ask because your headunit has a button like feature not seen on my '95 model. The button in question is far right above the LCD screen next to the pull out cup holder. This might be the way to take the wood plate grain off the headunit?

I had the same thing on mine. I did use a heat gun and went off quick and easy. It will not melt anything just as long as u don't stay in one spot for a really long time.

Try the heat gun but like he said, don't stay in one spot for very long.
