Default RCA Harness!

I recently sold/shipped my valor 606w navigation system on ebay. the buyer received it today and asked me if i had the rca harness so he could hook up his subwoofers. i was wondering if this was the rca harness for the navi system or for my '92 SC400. please enlighten me, i really dont want negative feedback for shipping out the wrong items

uhhhh, those are not RCAs.

What you have right there looks like a standard female Toyota Harness

He's looking for the black plug in this picture

When i uninstalled the unit that wasnt there. the only things hooked up to the unit were the gps antenna and the unit's wiring harness twisted to my SC's wiring harness. as you can see from the above picture you could actually see the disconnections ive made.

From what i recall the unit's wiring harness was plugged in the same place as the rca harness pictured above. could it be possible that it could be the same thing? please dumb it down for me

He sent me a picture and it looks like it is missing the RCA harness, which i dont have. Is there any alternative he could use to install unit to the subwoofers? thanks

looks like it connects to the other multi-pin port. your buyer will need the harness to connect any external amplifier. well, either that or he buys multiple line out converters.. which would be dumb.

Why wouldnt it be smart buying multiple line out converters?

he will have to order the harness from the manufacturer. line out would work with no sub output. never heard of a amplified subwoofer speaker wire out on a head unit. he should not give negative feedback because he should have researched the head unit to understand what was needed to hook it up to amps. i would never buy a deck without knowing what kind of lineouts it had.

It's a really ****-poor way to connect amplifiers. you take a high level signal and convert it through a cheap little interface (or expensive single interface) into low level signals that communicate to your amplifier.

It would probably be cheaper to contact Valor to purchase that cable, can't be more than $50 or so max (hopefully)
