Cool 1999 sc300 potential new owner

So i found a 1999 sc300 with 117k on it. Black leather interior what seems to be factory. The car is salvage title, and has some front end damage (pass headlight is broken, fiberglass bumper is half gone and the windsheild is cracked and the corner of the hood is a little bent). The car runs and drives and the engine bay is undamaged. The car looks pretty clean except for damaged area. He is wanting to trade for a sportbike.

I have a 04 gsxr 750, its my daily since my SC400 has a busted motor. So my thoughts were to trade my bike, put on my hood and associated parts (retrofits, suspension, wheels, ice) and sell my sc400 for 1200 or so. Any thoughts? Is it worth the trade? Would you do it? I am honestly tired of riding a bike all the time (especially in rain or to the clubs or late night when its effin cold) the sheer fun of it is sweet and the mpg, traffic and parking rock on a bike) I guess I could allways buy another bike later on too!

What do my fellow CL'ers think?

it would be a straight trade. I should mention i have about 205k on my 93 chassis. I can get a 1uz "jdm" for 600 with 30k, but the time to remove the motor and put it in is a killer as i work all the time. Or to pay to have it swapped im lookin at about another 800. Then I need to address my interior...everything is allways a project isnt it!

I think I would trade, it sounds like you are bored with the bike.

Not so much bored with the bike as much as bored using it for everything. It would be nice to have it as a weekend fun toy, or a lets go for a run bike. I think its just impracticle right now. I think I will trade, have a nice lil sc again and then pending the new job get a new unmolested, bone stock bike. Or maybe pick up a bike as a project and built a sick lil show/beach cruising/chick magnet! I feel sad for my sc because i want it to run and possibly get that twin turbo v8 project going. unfortunatly its in a hole right now and it keeps getting deeper ya know...

Just remember when you go to resell that car you will run into issues. Banks won't loan on a salvage title...
